I arrived in California early Friday morning and was so glad to see Reid. We only had a couple of hours to hang out before he had to go to work, but it was nice just to be with each other after two long weeks!! Reid and I both agree that they were the longest two weeks ever! Friday afternoon Reid went to work and I ran errands and took a nap, since I was running on three hours of sleep. I wanted to cook a nice meal for the two of us and so I started making dinner when it was almost time for Reid to come home. I turned on the oven to get it heated up...after an hour the oven was still cold!! I couldn't believe it. The appliances were brand new, we were the first to use them, and they were already broken. I called the management office and they sent someone to take a look at it. The guy told me that it was completely broken and they would have to replace it entirely, but wouldn't be able to until Monday afternoon. Unfortunately I had to finish cooking dinner in the microwave...not the best tasting dinner. Reid was still kind and ate it anyway :) Saturday I didn't have to worry about cooking because, their office made their goal for the week so, they were treated everyone to dinner. Then on Sunday was had a FANTASTIC BBQ by the pool!! The weather was impeccable and the BBQ area was wonderful...all factors to a wonderful day of BBQ!! Later that night we had a bonfire on the beach...with smores and music (provided by Reid, of course!). Sunday was a wonderful day. Monday Reid and I just relaxed and watched a movie before he had to go to work and before I had to go to the airport :( Monday was a sad day, and now we have three more weeks. Boy they better go quickly!!!
I am back here in Utah working away and Reid is still in California surfing and working away. Not the ideal situation.
