Our New House!!!

We have purchased a new house:) Yay! It has been a grueling process and we are seeing the payoff. We started looking at houses to buy back in April. The market here in Phoenix is prime for buying but at the same time it is really competitive with all the investors and other families trying to get the $8,000 credit. We put in A TON of offers that were really great! Our realtor told us that they were better offers than his other clients that were putting in offers in our price range. We were offering up to $20,000 over the asking price, all our financial arrangements from our lender completely taken care of and ready to go (and a letter from them proving that), and offering to pay closing costs. We didn't know what more we could do to land a house. We literally put in way over 20 offers.

Finally we saw a sign advertising for new homes starting just above our price range. We thought to ourselves, "we might as well just buy a new one, then we are guaranteed to get it and won't have to deal with the banks and the foreclosures." So Reid told our realtor and he searched and found us a builder that had homes starting our below our price range!! Wow, what a blessing. Now we are getting everything we could possibly want in a home and ending up spending right at our budget! Heavenly Father sure knows what is best for us and as two stubborn and independent individuals finally realized after 4 months what the Lord had intended for us. It is perfect. 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath, 2 car garage, huge kitchen, and a perfect size back yard!! It will be finished being built in October and we will get to move in toward the end of October! Just in time for hosting Thanksgiving!!
