Just one travelin family. Road trip #2

(September 4, 2010)
Over Labor Day weekend we took a trip to New Mexico to spend some time with my parents.
It was nice to get away from the heat and spend some time with the family. It is our family tradition to attend the Bar D every summer. Well, Labor Day weekend is their last showing of the season, so Reid, Eliah and I barely made it! The rest of my family had already attended at least once or twice this summer.
The Bar D is a little western "town" up above Durango, Colorado. (It's not really a town, it is a place that had little shops, a kids train, and a section for the dinner and music performance. They set it up to look like an old western town.)
A little side note...I just love my Moby wrap! It is so handy to carry Eliah in and it is so comfy!
Here we are just waiting our turn to go through the line to get our western dinner.
Just before the show starts. (The stage us underneath the light in the center of the picture.)
The performers. VERY talented!! They do a mix of comedy western songs and then the old traditional cowboy songs. Great show!

After the show getting ready to head home.
Eliah spent the whole time with Gram. He was over tired and fussy, so they found a quiet little spot to sit and he slept through the whole show. This is just before putting him in his car seat to head home. He is always one happy camper when he is woken up.
Getting ready to head home...
45 min later when we got back to my parents house :) he was sound asleep. I was even able to get him completely undressed in his car seat without waking him! But once I got him out and put him on the bed to swaddle him, he woke up.

Gram and Papa bought him this great saucer toy. He loves it! He is already pushing up and trying to make it bounce.
It also comes in handy when trying to feed him blueberries. Gram gave him his first taste of real food :) He did so well!
It was a great Labor Day weekend, nice and relaxing.

I like your new banner. Okay, Eliah has grown up so much. He is such a handsome little boy. His smiles are to die for!
