This year was my first REAL Mother's Day. Last year I was just about to pop with Eliah. So, I considered this my second ;) I mean after 9 months of carrying around a little one should definitely count, right?!
Well, my wonderful boys planned a surprise trip to Sedona for Friday and Saturday! It was fabulous! We drove up to Flagstaff Friday and stayed the night there. We then drove down the canyon into Sedona. What a BEAUTIFUL drive. It was very windy but the view was well worth it! We stopped at a famous church built in the 50's called "The Church of the Holy Cross". So cool! We then...
attempted a hike. Reid found this awesome hike that we thought we could just use our all terrain stroller on. Well, sad to say once we got there it was definitely a no go with the stroller. So, Reid carried Eliah for a little ways, just so we could see the views and hike for at least a little while. It was great, hot, but great! We then, had lunch at Rene. Wowee, that was SO GOOD! They have some wonderful restaurants in Sedona. The restaurant was located in this little "art village" so we spent some time walking around. It was wonderful! And finally, we headed to main street Sedona to walk around the shops. Eliah did great! I was so proud of him. And I had the best Mother's Day EVER!
Our Hotel Room. Reid found one that the bedroom was separate. So it was great because Eliah went to bed early and we stayed up late watching movies. AWESOME!
