We entered Eliah in a diaper dash at Baby's R Us. He ended up doing two races and then the final race for grand prize. His first race was just him and a little girl that was 10 mo old. When the race started he just sat there and watched the girl crawl across the mat then come back to him and crawl circles around Eliah. The lady working the race said we could do the next race if it didn't fill up. So we stuck around. The next race was just Eliah and a baby boy 11 months old. Eliah was now warmed up and didn't have a problem winning this race! Go Eliah. Finally, there was just the grand prize race. Since Eliah won one of his races he got to participate in the grand prize race. There were 5 babies, Eliah the youngest at 8 1/2 months and the oldest 1 year. The race started and Eliah probably would have won but he was 1/2 way across the mat when everyone started yelling and rooting their little ones on. Well, this freaked Eliah out. He isn't used to a lot of noise and yelling so he stopped right where he was and just cried. It was the cutest saddest thing ever! So, I just went and picked him up and he didn't finish. But he had such a good time and did so great. Esp. since he was the youngest and has only been crawling for a month.
